Our Course Director
David Noble is from Toronto, Canada. He took his first plunge in 1997 in the cold, cold waters of Tobermory in Georgian Bay, Lake Huron (one of the Great Lakes of North America) and has never looked back. Dave became totally intrigued with diving and worked his way to Instructor in his first year. Dave has trained many divers in Canada but has still found time to visit some of the world's most exotic dive sites.
Dave has extensive dive experience in Canada from the Emerald Sea of the Pacific Northwest to the oyster beds of Prince Edward Island on Canada's east coast, and done numerous dives in California's kelp forest off Catalina Island. Dave has travelled and taught In Egypt's Red Sea.
In the Caribbean, Dave has travelled and taught in Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Utila.
After completing his Course Director program in the summer of 2003, Dave worked as the primary Course Director for Scuba2000, Ontario's 1st Career Development College (CDC). Dave also spent the better part of 2005, living and teaching IDCs in Utila, the smallest of the Bay Islands located just off the coast of Honduras, Central America.
EFR and DAN Instructor
Al Haines is from Toronto, Canada, where he has been the first point of contact for many divers over the years, introducing them to their first Discover Scuba to helping them improve and perfect skills at all levels.
Al has been diving for over 20 years and became a Divemaster in 1995. With extensive dive experience in Canada, he has also done dive travel to such exotic locations as Africa and Fiji.
Al has always been interested in the teaching aspects of diving and became an EFR and a DAN instructor many years ago. He is always relaxed and easy-going to make your learning experience a positive one.
